.270 Report post Posted March 24, 2016 A financial planner once told me that when it all goes to $h!t, the only thing of any value will be guns, ammo and land. And the nuts to shoot first. He was also an American born muslim who converted to Christianity and hated the muslim religion. Looking at gun sales today, I think a lotta folks have his opinion. This loughner joker was a grenade with the pin out looking for a place to blow up. He'd had many run ins with cops at school and in public. They need to make special guns for guys like him. The first bullet fired goes backward. What he did was bad. But gifford and Kelly haven't made many friends with their antics since. Lark

Snapshot Report post Posted March 24, 2016 TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A lawsuit allegedly filed by Jared Lee Loughner, the man who carried out the mass shooting in Tucson in 2011, against one of the victims as well as the federal government, could be a hoax. The court filing, which appears to be made by Loughner without a lawyer, features bizarre accusations including the shooting was a setup and his original lawyer was a global spy that forced him to plead guilty. Loughner pleaded guilty and is serving seven consecutive life sentences, plus 140 years, for the Jan. 8, 2011 shooting that killed six people and wounded 13, including former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The lawsuit names Giffords and the Bureau of Prisons and seeks $25 million for emotional and psychological distress. It was filed in federal court in Arizona on Friday, March 18. But just a few days before Loughner's lawsuit, a similar lawsuit was filed. This lawsuit was allegedly filed on March 15 by Jason Brian Dalton, the Uber driver accused of killing six people in a shooting rampage in Kalamazoo, MI. The lawsuit stated Dalton was suing Uber Technologies, Inc. for $10 million in punitive damages. It later turned out to be a hoax. According to a note on the Loughner filing, the lawsuit could be thrown out because it does not follow proper form. Some of the claims in the lawsuit include: • Loughner is innocent and was hand-picked to be an assassin. • Giffords was never shot and learned to act the part by watching Ronald Reagan movies. • Loughner is being waterboarded every day by agents from the NSA, CIA and ATF. • Microchips have been placed in his head and he is the victim of a worldwide conspiracy. • Giffords is part of the Illuminati, a supposed secret organization of the most powerful people in the world. • Loughner is being targeted with chemtrails, which have made him sick and delusional. • Giffords help set up rancher Cliven Bundy. • Mark Kelly, Giffords' husband and a former American astronaut, planted illegal spy equipment in the skies to spy on Americans. The envelopes of both the alleged Loughner lawsuit and the fake Dalton lawsuit have very similar characteristics. Both have the same three stamps in the top right corner, have similar handwriting and are postmarked in Philadelphia, PA. Tucson News Now is working to determine the validity of the Loughner lawsuit and will continue to update this story.

Snapshot Report post Posted March 24, 2016 The other headline I read mentioned active shooter. The media does like to embellish things to their advantage.
stanley Report post Posted March 24, 2016 +1 on media embellishment. The yahoo article actually states that too. Says that the hospital apparently posted something on their Facebook page stating 'active shooter', so I suppose the reporting wasn't really that unfounded. Just turned-out that it was apparently not the case (thank God).
Benbrown Report post Posted March 24, 2016 It's a hoax: TUCSON, Ariz. — A lawsuit filed in the name of the man who shot former U.S. Congresswoman Gabby Giffords is bogus, an official said Thursday. The case was filed last week in federal court in Phoenix under Jared Lee Loughner’s name. It was similar to a recent bogus lawsuit claiming to be from an Uber driver accused in a string of Kalamazoo, Michigan, killings. The latest lawsuit claims Loughner was framed and seeks $25 million in damages from Giffords. But the convicted killer’s attorneys notified the court that he didn’t file or authorize the case, said Cosme Lopez, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona. The lawsuit was mailed from Philadelphia, though it wasn’t immediately clear by whom. Loughner is imprisoned in Minnesota at the Rochester Federal Medical Center.Someone in Philadelphia also filed the case that falsely claimed to be from Jason Dalton, who is charged in the Feb. 20 killing of six people and wounding of two others in Kalamazoo, Michigan. That lawsuit sought $10 million from the ride-hailing service. Officials became suspicious after seeing a Philadelphia postmark on the envelope it was mailed in.The U.S. District Court-District of Arizona hasn’t ruled yet on whether the latest lawsuit can go forward, court clerk Brian Karth said.Federal lawsuits can be filed in person or by mail. Staff attorneys sort through new filings and send them to a judge, who either dismisses them or assigns them to another judge.Karth said it’s common for inmates to file lawsuits and that the process to file a suit is relatively easy.“Obviously this was something we received through the mail, so there’s no way to validate who filed it,” Karth said.Loughner, 27, is serving life in prison after pleading guilty to killing six people and injuring 13 during a January 2011 mass shooting in Tucson that targeted Giffords, who was shot in the head and severely injured.Loughner is schizophrenic and was medicated under a court order during his trial.None of the attorneys listed for Loughner returned calls or emails from The Associated Press on Thursday. A Giffords spokesman said the former congresswoman was not commenting on the matter. In the Michigan case, authorities say that between picking up Uber fares, Dalton opened fire on people at three locations, and that he didn’t know any of the victims.According to police, Dalton told investigators that “a devil figure” on Uber’s app was controlling him.
