First attempt at digiscopeing

Recommended Posts

I went out scouting yesterday and it ended up being quit a short trip. Going into the area i had to cross quit a few running washes which I was pushing my luck crossing. Finnally got to the area and was able to glass for about 30 min and it started to look like it was going to rain. It did rain and I didn't want to get stuck back there with flooded washes so I had to take off. I did see this buck about 3/4 of a mile or so and I got a few pics of him. May be hard to see, he was a ways out there but hes just a fork right now may be a small three point by the time hes done growing. I'll let someone else in my hunting part shoot him if they want. I know theres bigger bucks in there.

What are you using for digiscopeing?

As a college student I have a very tight buget. I just got a Cannon powershot elph, which I love for its compact size, allows me to keep it handy so I take more pics. and my scope, well its a peice of crap but I pretty much got it for free. I'm looking at getting another spotting scope probable for my hunt in Nov. I don't have any fancy brackets or anything just hold the camer up to the eye peice.

All the pictures I have posted on here were digiscope picts (see "cute little buck") anyway, you can get a pretty in-exspensive camera mount at Sportsman's or even in the new Cabela's for about 50 bucks. They will help you take WAY better pictures.>>Jason
