creed_az_88 Report post Posted March 12, 2016 I breast out all my doves but skinning out the entire quail is the way I was shown as a kid. There's not a ton more meat on the legs but there's some. I was just curious.
bhuntin Report post Posted March 13, 2016 I filet out the breast and remove each leg then dredge all of it in flour and panko crumbs and fry up. the legs are my favorite part. Wild rice is a must have.
AmericanThunder Report post Posted May 25, 2016 You are missing out on some good eating if you don't pluck dove and quail. Skin gets so crispy. Tedious, but worth it.
Str8Shot Report post Posted May 25, 2016 looks yummy !!!! I have already seen some pairs running with two hatches ... My brother lives in east mesa, and had about a dozen of those little furry popcorn guys come out from behind his wood pile last week in his back yard. Hopefully they are repopulating well for you to restock your freezer !
