duckhunter175 Report post Posted March 10, 2016 Anyone have experience with the BOG POD tripods and the various attachments?? I'm interested in their quick change system and now they have different rests, bino adaptor, pan head, etc. Curious about durability, weight, packability, etc. I'm running a Vortex Summit SS-P right now for my binos and Razor HD spotter. lancetkenyon Report post Posted March 10, 2016 I have a Bog Pod Bipod. I broke it after about 4 uses. It was more my fault than the equipment. I was trying to spread the legs out, and didn't take the hint that it was fully opened. I was till surprised though. It is still serviceable, but I have to be careful when I spread the legs on it or one falls out.

rcdinaz Report post Posted March 11, 2016 I have the tactical one and it is sturdy, nice for the ability to change the head from shooting to optics and very adjustable. We have killed deer on the thing out to 500 yards. So the bad: They are noisy to carry because the legs bang against each other, not terrible nose just annoying. The legs come loose so loctite is probably a good idea on the levers because once loose in the field you can't get them to stop sliding back in. The optics head has a lot of play in it so it is difficult to get it set on a critter like a good tripod head. May be a way to add an "O" ring in there to tighten it up but I have not tried yet. I don't want to turn anyone off they are a good setup. I just want to let you know after 4 years of use what I think could be improved. My first choice would be a good tripod that is sturdy enough to use a Triclawps on and a good head but you start looking at a pretty good investment over the Bogpod system.
