Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land

Recommended Posts

A President should never be completely one sided. Trump is able to deal with people on both sides of the spectrum and that is a good thing. You get Cruz or Rubio in there and there goes another 4 years of getting nothing done. Someone who can help get rid of the two party BS in our government is a dang good start. Go Trump

I prefer govt gridlock. When govt is doing nothing, they are not screwing something up. The last time govt "did something" we got ObamaCare.

The chance of the Dems retaking the house and sentate this election is slim to none and don't be shocked if the establishment RINOs in congress don't block Trumps plans just for spite. That is how selfish and shallow most of them are.

Trump contridicts him self with every statement he makes. He says something now and said the opposite a year or two ago. I'm not sure I can believe anything he says. He sure does say things that make people like him and it's obviously working, just waiting to see if he'll follow thru? I'm not sure he will, based on his past record from not that long ago. Folks change but can they change that quick and actually believe in and stand by what they say?

Trump is just so abrasive, proud, offensive and easily offended. I just don't see strong positive qualities in him that I would want in a POTUS.

Apparently this was not written by Bill Bennett. It is said someone used his name to gain credibility, but an interesting read anyway. Who knows how true it is, or anything in politics for that matter.

William J. Bennett, Host of Bill Bennetts Morning in America Show, William J. Bennett, is one of Americas most important, influential and respected voices on cultural, political, and education issues. Bill Bennett what he said:

Interesting take on Trump

They will kill him before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump. Dont be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few.

Its about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and its in all of their interests to protect one another. Its one for all and all for one.

Its a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. Were the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened like never before.

Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.

Its no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. Its because most of the other politicians are part of the a ood old boys club. They talk big, but they wont change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations. . .like Big Pharma or Big Oil.

Or they are owned lock, stock and barrel by foreigners, like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary with their Clinton Foundation donations.

These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But theres one man who isnt beholden to anyone. Theres one man who doesnt need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teachers union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.

Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesnt need anyones help. That means he doesnt care what the media says. He doesnt care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.

Dont you ever wonderwhy the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Dont you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Dont you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to defund Obamacare or Obamas clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right? First, Id guess many key Republicans are being bribed. Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything.

Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything. Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists . . . so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth , why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if youre a good old boy, youve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win.

But Trump doesnt play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump. Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obamas birth certificate. He questioned Obamas college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, hes doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. Hes questioning our relationship with Mexico; hes questioning why the border is wide open; hes questioning why no wall has been built across the border; hes questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; hes questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and hes questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.

Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question! Im certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion. Trump will ask if Obamacares architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obamas widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obamas college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election. How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election?

Obama, the multinational corporations, and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control . If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trumps election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked booksand Obamas records, the game is over. The gig is up. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails, or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison.

Obamacare will be defunded and dismantled. And Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters.

Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. Thats why the dogs of heck have been unleashed on Donald Trump. Yes, its become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they cant silence him. And they sure cant intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that hes the one telling the truth.

Since this thread has drifted into presidential politics in general, I'll make the following observations before returning it to our principal concern, which is losing our public lands and free hunting access.

Donald Trump cannot be elected president. At this point it looks unlikely that he can even get a delegate majority. The 35 per cent or so he gets in primaries is more than anyone else gets, but it's not a majority. Many Republicans, possibly about the same number who support him, will not vote for Trump under any circumstances. Some Republicans are even planning to vote for Hillary if Trump does somehow manage to get the nomination. Hillary could probably beat him while sitting in a holding cell wearing orange.

But our concern should be with this movement to privatize national forest and BLM lands, or to transfer ownership to the states who will sell them off. ALL of the major GOP presidential candidates except Trump (a broken clock is right twice a day) have favored this move. It's an idea that has firmly taken root within the Republican party and has now metastisized into its bone marrow. Our job is to communicate to others, especially GOP politicians and party activists, that this is unacceptable and that the GOP should dump this idea immediately and try to pretend they never entertained it. Otherwise, the Boquillas pricing you're seeing now will some day look like a really good deal as the rest of your hunting opportunities will look like this (Ted Cruz's state). http://www.king-ranch.com/operations/hunting/pricing-info-booking-status/

I can only tell you one thing for certain out of all this mess: if trump wins the primaries and the gop pulls some slimy back alley crap to put up romney or any of their other stooges, that will be the day I first register as an independent (just so the gop wont have my name on their list) and the last day I participate in any federal election process. Im weary of choosing the lesser of two evils.

One will never prosper because of something the gov does anyway, you must learn to prosper in spite of what the gov does.

I sure didn't mean for this to turn into a debate over candidates as much as point out what I see as a serious flaw in the Cruz stance. Rubio feels the same way, for the record, and it seems most of the party is heading that direction. If you look at who is putting money into their coffers, it's pretty easy to see who is buying that particular policy.

I won't vote for Trump. His record on issues (just about any of them) is erratic at best. A complete flip-flop for the most part, depending on the way the wind blows. I appreciate his willingness to say anything on his mind, but I appreciate just as much someone who has the powers of their own convictions and stands firm in those beliefs, so it won't be Trump. At this point, the GOP is between a rock and a hard place - many dyed-in-the-wool Republicans are threatening to abandon the party if they "pull a fast one" but the party doesn't want a loose cannon at the helm and they don't think he can beat Godzillary.

I'm not advocating for any Dem candidate, but the idea that "they're going to take our guns" is a ludicrous scare tactic. The same kind that drives gun and ammo prices up and benefits a select few. The same that was whispered when Bill Clinton was elected. The same when Obama was elected. Somehow I still have my guns. As the owner of several guns, the feds don't have any information on more than 90% of mine and the manpower needed to "take them" simply is beyond their capability. Who and how many people are going to show up to my house, search for and seize them? Multiply that by the millions of Americans who own them = not going to happen. Do we have to safeguard against gun laws that go too far and impinge on our rights down the road? You bet, but you can rest assured nobody is coming to grab the ones you've got.

You are wrong if you think they can't take your guns. The first act if the next Prez is to put a new judge on the Supreme Court. Every major gun case by the court has been 5-4. As soon as they flip it liberal, the gun control cases are going to start flying in. Quit kidding yourself. It's much more likely they rip off your gun rights than sell off the public land.

Trump is far from perfect and not my first choice but he is better than Hillary.
