cohofishing Report post Posted March 5, 2016 Got Courtney's 264 win mag back from Craig's custom rifles of Tucson. Craig did a awesome job and we can't wait to get it to the range. It was built on a browning A-bolt action which was my first gun I bought with my own money 30 years ago. He blue printed the action and mated it to a Brux #4 heavy sporter barrel 1-8 in the 264 win mag. Put on a Terminator T1 brake and cerakoted the whole thing in graphite black. He fitted it all to the Richard Microfit psychedelic stock that had already been shaped. Top it of with a sightron SIII 6.5-24x50 scope. We put on a atlas bipod quick disconnect. It weighs 11.3 pounds. It looks awesome. A perfect woman's gun.

cohofishing Report post Posted March 7, 2016 We built it to shoot 140's. Craig likes the berger 140 hybrids is his other 6.5's. I only have only experience with the hunting vlds. I loaded some hybrids and some nosler 142 lrabs today. I also have on hand 140 amax and 140 nosler ballistic tips as wells a whole assortment of different 130's I could try. Going to try to go to the range this week. Brent
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted March 7, 2016 Brent, dont be afraid to look at the Lapua Scenars too. Although I did not fill my deer tag, two buddies used my LRM shooting the 180 Scenar. Neither one had to track their bucks! My buddy Mike smoked a small spike with it at 310. He hit shoulder so there was a little more damage then normal but the deer didn't move an inch. My other buddy killed a real big 2 point at 342 up above us, looking down towards us. This deer did a complete front flip! No exit, .284 entrance and very little meat damage if any. The vitals were jello and took ALL the punishment. The Scenar has a little more baring surface so you should reach pressure before you would with the hybrids, but they are very accurate and only give up the slightest bit of BC to the Hybrid (.672 vs .661). The 139 Sceanr has a BC of .578, and the 140 Hybrid has a BC of .
Hoss50 Report post Posted March 7, 2016 Very nice rifle. When I shoot the barrel out of my 257 weatherby I am going to have an internal fight whether to rebarrel to 257 weatherby again or 264 win mag. I really love my weatherby but getting access to 140gr bullets would be awesome.
