10x42 ELs or 8.5x42 ELs

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the comments fellas. I got my eyes set on the swaros. But yeah, the monarchs and the pinnacles are both great glass. Thought about the leicas, but man I love my swaros. Right know I am leaning towards the 8.5's, but still keep looking at the 10's. Like firstcoueswas80 said I work a sportsmans in Tucson so I get the pleasure of looking and comparing binos all day since I work in binos dept. I too have the whole outdoorsmans set up so it would be nice to put their nipple on the 8.5's and be able to use both on the tripod. It sounds like the majority of you guys prefer the 8.5's. Brighter is always better and they would probably be a tad better in the pines. Thanks for the offer downthebarrel17. It would really make no sence to buy them from you now would it! LOL.

Firstcoues it's with a K dang it. heck, atleast you memberd huh. Thanks for the info guys and any more could only help.

just checking...but you do know swaros are double points till the end of the year.

No I didn't. just started working there maybe a month ago. Also new manager who is barely getting the hang of things. Everybody is new in my dept. Sales are starting to pick up coming deer season. Where do you work downthebarrel?

I guess my manager knew, but didn't care to tell anybody. Just sold some yesterday. Work mostly weekdays, but dang all this weekend was busy. Going to start working more on the weekends to get all those out of towners coming in. I'll give you a jingle.

The 8.5's are the nicest glass I've ever looked through! The plus to getting the 8.5's is although they are slightly heavier/bulkier, they make a much steadier hand held bino. good luck on your decision.

They are definitely noticiably brighter and steadier like shortpants said. Do any of you know if Swaros has some financing deal where you somehow get the binos up front and pay like $100 a month and interest free for a year. Or something like that. Maybe it's just for people who sale them. An old gift bar manager was telling me something about it yesterday and he wasn't exactly sure either. You kow downthebarrel?

I took out a school loan, I guess I'll just use that. 0% interest till I graduate. Bear Basin huh. I'll check them out. Thanks guys

swarovski does offer a 12 month 0% GE financing program....I think that is only through their pro form...TH if you wait 3 months you can by your swaros discounted (we get pro forms once we have worked at SW for 3 months)......you can get the El's for the same price as the SLC's.
