jrose Report post Posted August 2, 2007 After many years of saying I would like to hunt unit D on the res. I broke down and bought a tag. What I was not aware of was you are not able to scout the area until 3 days before the hunt starts. If you are like me, the scouting is much of the hunt with many family and friend trips to get to know the area. Could anyone help point me in the correct direction on water sources, productive areas from the past etc. in this unit. Packing in is not out of the question. Thanks for the help and look forward to talking on the forum.

jrose Report post Posted August 2, 2007 You have to have a guide to hunt mountain lion in unit D. The unit is closed to non members year round unless you are with a guide.
