No success in 22 but..

Recommended Posts

So unfortunately we weren't successful this year in 22 but we came across these images. Just wondering if anyone has seen these before or has an opinion if they're real? It was located north of rye/Gilmore springs area in a thick area on top of a mountain that didn't have any trails leading to it. I can't imagine that someone would climb this mountain just to scratch these in the boulders and hope someday when some random hunter came through beating the brush would see them..

Well if so it was impressive, there was different piles of boulders with similar drawings. Only if we could have found some javelina...regardless just being outdoors if you glass enough and cover ground you can usually find something pretty cool. Thanks for your input

If you are the first to see I'd delete the approximate location in your post and keep it secret. Lotsa a folks deface nice pictographs. I've seen it before. A place I went for years ended up getting colored with chalk, paint, put on a geocache site, and now it's trashed from all the wanna be "conservative" hippies that visited it.

Petroglyphs are all over. I know of tons of sites that seem off the beaten path to modern day people. Nice find.

They are real I took my kids to this exact location an have pictures of the same carvings. I don't know where u parked but where I parked before we hike in there was a sight saying the area was protected by Arizona site stewards. Also look at the shape of the highway it actually goes completely around the area in almost a circle. That's more than enough info for anyone to find the place now

Well I decided to go out one more time and worry about work tomorrow... My cousin and I found these guys meandering around at 145 yards off at 10 am and we let the Varmageddon/Hornady eat!
