mattys281 Report post Posted February 14, 2016 Welcome to the site! Glad to have you here and thanks for your service. I'm curious if you have any difficulty adjusting to the civi life after so long in the Corp? I have two brothers that are lifers, both got out after their first four years and ended up going down and signing back up before the end of their terminal leave. I heard the phrase, "civilian life sucks! It's boring!"

Blaster Report post Posted February 14, 2016 Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Ernesto ya definitely have to get in contact down the road. Mattys281 yes the transition back to civilian life from military life is definitely a culture shock. I wasn'I rdy to get out myself either, but due to some injuries I was retired early at 21 years. I do understand that Yuma is pretty far from the prime hunting grounds, but I'm willing to put in the road time needed. Thanks again Blaster.

Some of these boys do pretty good on desert mulies down there and if you like small game hunting, I'm not sure you could find a better cottontail area. When my older brother was at the Yuma air station over there, we were going down on weekends to visit and we'd take the kids to the river to swim and stuff. Seemed like those rabbits were everywhere..... at least during the "cooler" (ha-ha, it is Yuma!) parts of the day.
