Which LR scope do I buy?

Recommended Posts

Nightforce is the only way to go unless you can go the extra for a Schmitt and Bender or an Ior Valdada. If you're shooting 800-1000 yards nothing with less than 32 power on the high end. The other thing to consider is zero stop and at least a 56mm objective. And one last thing is don't cheat on the rings and base. Get a solid platform you can count on. Spend at least $200 on a set of rings and bases.

bushnell

Some of them actually aren't bad, the LRS, ERS, XRS, DMR, HDMR.

Tasco..............BOB!

Ummm....heck no.

i dont see any reason you need more than a redfield 4x.

Great for close shots or thick timber. But not so much for LR.

Good info. I think there are several other ways to go besides Nightforce however.

All you need is the Barska 6-24x50, found at any big five store!

GTFO.

I would not count out Sightron III 6x24 I have one and a Vortex PST 6x24 and for me the Sightron glass is a cleaner picture. Here are some results at 1125 yards, the three larger splashes are from the 300 win. It took me 7 rounds to get on steel with a guy spotting for me but I was thrilled. One word of advice when your spotter csays your 3.5 MOA right adjust to the left not right, if not you will miss 7 MOA right😳

It is worse when you are shooting MIL, and your spotter says you are 6 MOA right @ 1000 yards, so you think about it, dial 1.8 MIL left, and miss way left. Then he says, "What happened? Oops, I meant 6" right.".....
