Where do you keep your bow?

Where do you keep your bow?

  1. 1. Where do you keep your bow on a daily basis? I know some guys have safes big enough to keep their bow, while other guys throw it in the back seat of their truck. I have a big hook next to the door going out the garage where I hang my bow.

I don't trust my garage in the desert in the summer...I keep mine in its case in the bedroom. No room under the bed, so its out of the way in the corner. In my office when I'm shooting more regularly...

I keep mine in a hard case in the garage. I have been keeping it like that for a while now. Seems to be doing good.

Is this ok to keep it in the garage?

Its a really bad idea to keep it in the heat in the summer. I was told the BCY string material goes to the can after 120F. Pretty easy to get that hot in a car and close in a garage.

I hang my bow in my game room on the wall next to the patio door. It looks like it belongs there next to my mounts and is very easy to grab and shoot off the back patio.

Good to know. Looks like it will be moving into the house! Thanks.

Stopped keeping it in the garage after a couple nocks blew up. My buddy said it was dry rot from the heat. Now they are in the bedroom.

Correct answer was "at your moms house"

I thought it was "in a van down by the river!"

Another thing to keep in mind about garage storage is that the glue used on your arrows is heat sensitive, especially the shrink wrap fletching systems. The nap ones I had a while back said right on the package to not store them any where warm. If you have trouble with fletchings coming off, could be your arrows are getting baked and the glue is getting brittle.

Just got my bow rack up yesterday. I'm happy with how it came out.
