What Elk Unit to Apply For and Why?

I need to pass this year and apply for a point. My son has 7 points and is applying for 6A archery and I'll plan on spending time with him. I'll throw my hat in the barrel next year with 9 points.

I'm sitting on 8 and finally pulled the trigger on my application today. I've been back and forth since the regs came out. My original plan was to wait for an early rifle tag but I don't think I have the patience anymore.

I like applying for a hunt that has 300 class bulls and I have 100% chance of drawing. Which one is that?

I put in for late hunts with low tag numbers. Besides, at this rate I would need 20 points to get drawn if I waited ten years. Just love to hunt. size only matters to stuck up chicks.. Jk jk.

i put in for 22s, rifle then late archery.

 

because i live there. that's why.

 

i know the archery hunt can be miserable, but, it's an easy draw, and i'd rather hunt than sit here on cwt and look at everybody else's pics. so misery or not, i'm going for it. plus, living here, gives me an advantage. i think. maybe. lol.
