Maverick351 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 I decided to get a custom knife a while back. After much searching I found a guy from Texas I wanted to build my first custom knife. We talked a bit about what I wanted and he sent a few pics of ideas he had. Well after all that I picked the shape, length and color of the blade then picked a wood and shape of the handle and this is what we came up with. He is almost done just needs a bit more finish and then he is making a leather sheath to fit it precisely. I'm excited. 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He's paralyzed on his left side and builds knives so he has something to keep him busy. I have a few and my goodness they're nice!! It's an art for sure. It was a cool experience to really be able to select every aspect of the knife and I was updated with pics all the way through the build so that was cool too. All different kinds of steel and anywhere from wood all the way to Wooly Mammoth Ivory handles... Here is one (my favorite damascus pattern) Feathered Damascus with Mammoth Ivory The other is what I call the "Pig Whisperer"... Full tang Bowie of feathered Damascus with Asiatic Water Buffalo Handle .... Nothing pulls a custom knife together better than a custom sheath... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
