TLH Report post Posted July 28, 2007 Keith, that is the link. There will be another link that will have a donation form--you will need to fill this form out and then sign your tag. Once you have that all done you need to send the envelope to the address that is on that link. If, for some reason, we can not use the tag we will send it back to you well before the season--just in case you find a way to utilize it. I want to thank you for thinking of the HOAL organization--it is truly an org that makes your heart feel good and really helps the kids stay positive through their battle. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me at arizonaoutfitter@cox.net or call me on my cell phone at 623-696-5579 and i will help with any question you might have. Thanks again! Outdoor Writer Report post Posted July 28, 2007 Terry, I never get drawn for anything, so I can't help in that regard. BUT...if there's anything I can do to help out with HOAL, just holler. -TONY

TLH Report post Posted July 28, 2007 Terry, I never get drawn for anything, so I can't help in that regard. BUT...if there's anything I can do to help out with HOAL, just holler. -TONY Tony, If you ever want to write an article on the HOAL that would help more than anything else. We need to get the word out about what this group does and how it helps these kids. This group is one that is ALL about the kids. If we can help them by giving them something to look forward to besides chemo, radiation, or how they are feeling then it is worth more money than anyone could acquire! Right now we have a lot of tags and not enough kids--bitter sweet situation but i really don't think all of the kids out there with life threatening illnesses know about the HOAL--if we could get the word out to more major magazines i think we would have more kids than tags. So, Tony, if you can throw your talent into it and we could get an article in any magazine out there that would help us to find more kids to make happy--if only for a few days. Marshall is our Public Information officer and i am sure he can give you any info you need for an article--i can help too. Thanks Tony--anything you can do will be greatly appreciated!! Outdoor Writer Report post Posted July 28, 2007 Terry, I'll see what I can do. Unfortunately, this is sort of bad timing because most of the larger pubs I write for are now out to the late fall/early winter issues. For example, I just finshed my stuff for the Dec. issue of Rocky Mt. G&F, and I'm working on the Jan./Feb. stuff for Cabela's Outfitter Journal. So the tags you already have for this fall wouldn't get much play with something in those or any of the other major magazines, that work on the same long lead time. That said, I also do short articles on hunting & shooting opportunities in 10 western states, including AZ, for the NSSF's huntandshoot.org website. This is VERY timely, basically done every two weeks by me and posted within a day or two. In fact, I'll be doing this weeks tomorrow. Is there any way to get a list of the hunts available? And I assume nonresident youngsters are eligible? -TONY
muskrat Report post Posted July 29, 2007 Tony - Check your e-mail (I also posted a list on the OWF awhile back)
Outdoor Writer Report post Posted July 29, 2007 Tony - Check your e-mail (I also posted a list on the OWF awhile back) Got it. I'll try to start a bit of a blitz. I think I can get something done with the NSSF, NRA and perhaps some of the newspaper guys around the country. I'm sure I can get something into the Outdoor Wire, as well. Do you have any sort of real press release already written other than the one you posted on OWF? -TONY
muskrat Report post Posted July 29, 2007 No. One of the things they brought me on board for was to help generate timely press releases. We're still working out the kinks. On a separate, but related note, I did convince my Blog Network (Skinny Moose Media) to help HOAL on a national level. End result - a donation of about $14K in advertising... http://arizonahuntingtoday.com/desertrat/?p=
