I was pretty happy he wanted to load 40 .270 wsm. I wish someone would have taught me at 14 years old. :)

I had to teach myself when I was about that age. If I didn't it ment I didn't get to shoot as often.

My 12 yr old son likes to seat the bullets as well.

He knows the process and steps too but searing bullets is his thing. Lol

For some reason he hates trimming....I wonder why?

That's ok I'd rather do that step anyhow.

OMG, I've got to learn to reload...... I don't know what any of that stuff is that you guys are talking about!

 

There seems to be many brands out there? Which one rules? Could someone recommend a great book on reloading?

I am only using 9mm, 45, .270 and .223, so far.

What bullets and powder are you using? I try to use the books for the components I am using as a starting point. Berger, Hodgdon, Nosler, Hornady, Sierra....they all have their own data. But they are all just a starting point for reference, not gospel. You need to work up your own loads, as only your gun can tell you it's limits.
