Snow

Recommended Posts

Got 4" here today. Less than predicted, but it is really wet. Kind of a warm night last night. 34 when I got up. Took awhile for the snow to stick this morning or it might be a little deeper. I dang sure didn't do much today. Fed, finished checkering a rifle and watched tv. Might hafta Fire up the dozer to get out. Boy is this great!?!? I know it's just starting but it's bern awhile since the weather folks even mentioned a decent winter. This storm has kind hung up a little east of here. Been snowing light all day but it's supposed to get heavier. I hope it gets so deep this winter I hafta hire a chopper to get to town. Most all the springs and wells in this country are real weak or plum dry. There ain't any amount of work or money that will improve things more than snow and rain. Lark

Just checked the web camera at Forest Lakes. Almost 3 feet on the ground! Nice!

I'm thinking the eastern part of the state will get hit hard tonight. Great news!

I agree. Enjoy folks.

We've had about 2 feet so far in Flagstaff with 3-7" predicted overnight, tonight. And we just found out tomorrow will be snow day #3 for the kids. Forts have been built, the sled run started, and we just bought a new bottle of spiced rum!

Black German shepherds look awesome in the snow.

Got 2" last night. 6" total. Still snowing real light. Moved my welder out of a shed so the horses and mules could get outta the weather. They were mashed in there like sardines. Looks like farther west they're getting a lot more but we'll take it. Wet snow too. Lark

I'm in Grants working and we got about 3-4 inches last night. Too bad they don't know what plows are here. Front loaders just don't do that great of a job. Made for an interesting trip to the jobsite this morning. Heading home around noon so hopefully the roads will be a little better.

Like they say, New Mexico, a lot like the old one. When I lived in RV I travelled to the gila valley regularly. I don't know how many times I had to chain up to pull whay they called a snowplow out. 2wd duallys with a blade on the front. Lark

Coues gonna need a periscope and stilts in that snow. The snow level is great. Be nice to see full lakes again. Big lake and crescent haven't been full for over 20 years. Still snowing a little here. Lark
