Lance Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Sorry it's not a Coues, but fun none the less! We call this bull "Tilt" -His forths and fifths tilt in and his antlers will tilt the scales as well! This bull is awesome! He looks narrow because his forths and fifths are so long and tilt in so far. But his main beam has at least a 40" spread and then it flares out in the back giving him a little extra! His forths and fifths tilt in so much that they look short from some angels. But his forths are only about 3-4" shy of the depth of his chest, and that is a deap chest! His fronts are all at least 15-20" and his thirds are pushing 15". And he has a 7th point on one side. His Mass is great and his main beam sticks a foot over his back with his nose to the ground! Hope you enjoy the pictures! I know score dosn't matter in the end, and just stick his old tough meat in the freezer. But it is fun to guess. So does anyone have a guess on what he might be? Coues Sniper Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Very nice bull. I'm not that great at scoring elk, but I'll throw a guess of about 390 out there. I'm probably low, but that was my first impression. It's hard to tell from the pics because the tines look so different in each one. A bull I would throw the lead at for sure!
Huntn coues Report post Posted July 24, 2007 a buck fifty for sure
OneTrack Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Now I'm really not going to get any sleep for two months. I was going to say 385. I bet he's 400 by September 14th, minus broken tines. I have a 7West tag. I'll be looking for a bull like that. Scouting in Aug and early Sept. Wish me luck.

kwp Report post Posted July 24, 2007 I'm gonna go with azhuntnut on this one 360ish. A bull has to have everything to reach 390-400 and I don't think the fronts on this bull quite have it. Still a great bull though.

Lance Report post Posted July 24, 2007 Great bull Lance! I would be happy with the tough meat in the freezer. By the way, don't you have a job? Baahahaha! This is my job! I think he will score over 370 easy enough. A few others and myself keep adding up the points and at a very low guess. The lowest we can get is 375" conserving on every point and mesurment. He may have another five inches in him before he sheds velvet. How deep would you guys say a mature bulls chest is? Lance
