John O Report post Posted December 31, 2015 I've shared this recipe with several friends, and it always seems to be a big hit when I make it. 1- One 2015 December last day archery coues whitetail 2- Trim meat and add to crock pot (4-6 lbs) 3- Add one can onion soup 4- Sprinkle one package taco seasoning 5- Drizzle BBQ sauce and Italian dressing 6- Cook on low for 8-10 hours (until meat is tender and shreds easily) 7- Remove meat and shred/cut up 8- Cut canned whole green chilies 9- Strain drippings from crock pot 10- Combine meat, green chilies, and strained drippings in a large sauce pan 11- Simmer on low for 1-2 hours Meat is good on nachos, burritos, tacos, or whatever you like meat on/with. I add a small can of diced jalapeno peppers for extra spice. Seems like a long process, but actually takes very little time (aside from the meat preparation).

billrquimby Report post Posted December 31, 2015 I have a similar recipe, except I add a half can of diced tomatoes and three or four chopped green onions (stems and all) at the end. I cook potatoes with the meat in the Crockpot, then chop them into small pieces and fry until crisp. Bill Quimby
