Chris Report post Posted December 22, 2015 I have a new .270 ..... would it help? What do they do? How much money? Gunsmith recommendations for such?
QhunterAZ Report post Posted December 22, 2015 how does the rifle shoot now? What kind of rifle is it? Tuning the actions can involve precision milling the bolt raceway, true the bolt face, making it perfectly flat and matching the locking lugs. Removing any slop from the action. Its not cheap, but I Would say, if you can outshoot the rifles accuracy, then its worth it. Put that rifle on a good bench with a leadsled. Get the hydraulic trigger actuator and see what it can really do with out human errors.
STOMP442 Report post Posted December 22, 2015 Are you planning on re-barreling said .270? Truing the action and bolt will change the headspace of the rifle and the barrel will need to be re-fit accordingly. if you are going to drop the coin and spend the time doing it just as well throw a few hundred more at it and get it re-barrelled with a match grade barrel in the caliber of your choosing.

STOMP442 Report post Posted December 23, 2015 How does it shoot currently? I think spending the money on bedding, floating and a trigger job would be the better option on improving a factory rifle.
