bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted July 23, 2007 I have used the RM Snyper for about 6 years and is a great head. The Rage is very similar but the Rage costs about $5 per pack more.
coueshunter84 Report post Posted July 23, 2007 I have never used either but would not mind trying them. Just curious what the actual difference between them is other then price? They look way similar in about every aspect other then the blades having different cuts in them. Anyone played with the 2 together?
azhuntnut Report post Posted July 24, 2007 I have also used the Snyper which I think is the same as the Rage two blade. I have only used it for pig hunting so far. It did a great job, and almost cut the heart in half. I would not use it on an elk though. I think the expandables are great on deer sized animals or smaller. With an elk, there is larger bone that needs to be penetrated if you make a not perfect shot. I have had very good results using cut on contact fixed blades. Try pushing an expandable head, chisel point, and a cut on contact blade into a cardboard box to see how much effort it takes for each one. I use the Magnus Stinger four blade for my elk hunts. bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted July 25, 2007 I know I have posted this here before, but here is what a Snyper can do. The rear deploying blades keep from burning kinetic energy as it enters the animal. The head broke a rib going in and cracked 1 going out. It was a complete pass thru. Sorry, I dont have time to resize it to fit here.
