gbocardo Report post Posted December 20, 2015 Finally after 8 years since my last Bull Elk tag I drew a September Archery Tag. My wife and her friend Nadia also drew a late cow Elk Tag. The Rut season was tough but after miles of hiking I got it done and was pleased with my Bull. My wife and her friend Nadia got her done opening day and both dropped their cows within 30 yards of each other. 300 plus yard shots and they both dropped where they stood. It was awesome to watch them get it done within seconds of each other. They also put in the work. While me and my buddy Joe, Nadia's husband did the quartering they packed out the meat and would return for more. After three 1/2 mile trips up and down hills they were exhausted. We all carried out the last cow and did the whole process in record time. It was bitter sweet though because it was over so soon.
