eagle#eyes Report post Posted December 20, 2015 Not trying to derail the thread but I'm curious, would a mid level spotter do more than the swaro 15's the OP said he has? I've never used a spotter but have a set of 15's.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 20, 2015 I think the top tier glass retain 75% of their value, but not low to mid tier glass. More like 30-50% after 3+ years. I have not looked through too many spotters other than my old $300 Pentax, and a few Vortex Razor, Swaro, Leica, Zeiss. I would look at used high end if you absolutely have to have a spotter right away.
naturebob Report post Posted December 21, 2015 Cheap glass is worthless. thats why I don't even own one right now. Good 15's are just as good. Save till You can get the best. I been thru this personally..............BOB!
AmericanThunder Report post Posted December 21, 2015 I have the Vortex Viper HD 20-60x80. Great glass for the money. Even if I had the money to purchase the Razor or even a Swaro not sure that I would. Viper's get the job done just fine.
