trphyhntr Report post Posted December 17, 2015 I would say leave him until next year and let him get nice but every hunter in this state seems to launch a bullet or arrow at the first thing with horns. what state are you from
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted December 17, 2015 I would guess that Arizona is one of the most conscious states when it comes to killing mature animals?
Silver Bullet Report post Posted December 17, 2015 If I was in your shoes, I'd take that deer at the first opportunity. First of all, that is a very nice buck. Second, any nice deer that you can locate while scouting, then find again come hunting season is an accomplishment in itself. Besides, it's hard to tell by the pictures if this is a younger buck that still has some growth left in him, or possibly an older deer that's beyond his prime and starting to regress. Wait, and someone else will get him.......so SHOOT IT !!!

lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 17, 2015 I would say leave him until next year and let him get nice but every hunter in this state seems to launch a bullet or arrow at the first thing with horns. Almost.....even my 13 year old daughter passed 85 bucks holding out for a big mature buck, and probably 25-30 bulls looking for a good one this year.

idgaf Report post Posted December 19, 2015 I think you asking yourself the wrong question. The question you should ask your self is will you be happy with him. My middle brother and my cousin could not be happier with any size deer, my youngest brother can only be happy with the largest. This year I took a 150" 8 or 9 year old buck and could not be happier. A couple of years ago I passed on a 165-170ish buck at 15 steps and could not be happier. It really is up to you. A pic of the buck that some people said I was crazy
