rossislider Report post Posted December 14, 2015 My son was lucky enough to draw a cow hunt with one of his friends. We headed up Wednesday night so we could do some scouting on Thursday in preparation for opening morning on Friday. Well things didn’t go according to plan opening morning. It was really cold, windy, and the elk we were hoping to find from the day before weren’t cooperating. After trying several different strategies throughout the day, we were successful in finding some elk in the evening. Both boys killed within about a mile of each other and 30 minutes apart, just before dark as the snow began to fall. It worked out great because we got LOTS of snow Friday night and with the hunting done, the snowmobiles came out! Early morning scouting for these three. We watched these rams, and LOTS of antelope while glassing. The wind made it ridiculously cold! A happy hunter! Post hunt fun Got out of the high country just as it REALLY started coming down! This was on the highway by Greens Peak.

rossislider Report post Posted December 15, 2015 Is this in AZ? I didn't know anyone here had sleds. Oh yeah congrats to the kid too! My buddy's family has some. It was up near Greer. Plenty of snow for them after the storms of the past few days. Lots of fun hitting the back trails and seeing tracks everywhere in the new snow.
