Norteno Report post Posted December 10, 2015 Since it is now public knowledge I thought I would share with the cwt community why I skipped out on fall hunts this year. If you are up at 7am Thursday morning look East down I-40 and if the conditions are right you will be in for one cool light show. If you have a early morning flight out of Sky Harbor, Albuquerque or El Paso I apologize for the delay. This will be the 4th rocket I launch out of NM for the US Army. It is an awesome job, but being away from the family for 6-7 weeks really takes its toll. I missed my sons first steps and my wife has been a single Mom this whole time. Believe me it was also hard watching my cousin go out on a late season bull elk hunt solo. He got his bull, so the excitement made up for me not hunting. I see tons of wildlife while working at Ft. Wingate though (see trailcam forum) I should be sleeping right now, but my nerves are getting to me. I almost posted this topic in the "Prayers Request" forum. I hope the link below works http://www.abqjournal.com/688304/news/army-to-launch-missile-thursday-from-northwwest-new-mexico.html

AZ8 Report post Posted December 10, 2015 Very cool. I witnessed one on my 2012 antelope hunt in 5B while sitting in the dark waiting for the sun to rise. It was an awesome site from my vantage point out in the middle of nowhere just west of Meteor Crater.

n2horns Report post Posted December 10, 2015 Nice, wonder if will see it in the valley. So flares in the sky are non human visit, but publicized light shows are legit without alien intervention. LOL. You got a great gig. Would love to see pics posted if someone captures them.
