JustinB Report post Posted December 5, 2015 i have been clearly told by the game warden in 9 and the one for 8 that also covers 9 that the unit is no longer being managed for trophy elk. Stood their right on the side of the road chatting with them. both were dead serious. unit 8 warden said the same was true for 8. A lot of this goes back to the input submitted by the public a number of years back now. Basically public opinion was that they would rather have more opportunity to hunt rather than quality hunts. From that point tag number skyrocketed and many trophy units simply went to blast as many as you can. Guessing now that people have seen what more opportunity gets them they are wishing they asked for quality over opportunity. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
