Prime Bows

Recommended Posts

I shot a Prime Rival for a couple of months. Great Bows!!! Awesome valley and back wall. I wasn't a fan of the grip though. In the end I liked my Nitrum 34 better and the Rival got the boot.

I had a Prime Impact and loved it. The only reason I got rig of it was because I got caught up in the speed race and traded it for a PSE that wasn't much faster. Wish I still had it. It was a little heavy but held great and the have a solid back wall. They run a little long in the draw too, especially if you remove the bulky grip some come with. Can't beat their customer service either, especially if you buy it new with the warranty. Free strings for life and free tune up at 6 months.

I don't own or shoot one, but have heard good things about them. I have pretty much been a Bowtech user, and recently got an Athens Accomplice set up, and it shoots very well.

I would not have any problem with a Prime, other than not needing one right now, and difficulty finding lefty bows.

A "new" bow is on the list for the new year. Most likely I'll be buying a Prime and will be buying second hand to save some $. Which bows from their line up would you recommend?

I have a 2015 Ion and love it. They finally shortened their ATA's and made them a bit lighter - so it fit the bill. Not the fastest bows out there, but I'm send my 420 grain arrows at 300 fps with a 30 inch draw length. Was shooting a switchback up until this point. I like the Ion better.

awesome rigs.i have a rival. forgiving and fast. It seems like everyone is skeptical about the parallel cams. they shouldn't be. Once I got the string shot in, they haven't budged. set up is easy. Shot bullet holes through paper with a bare shaft with a few minor adjustments. no grip issues with the option of running the ghost side plates. draw specific cams and the availability to adjust draw stop pegs for 65,75 and 85% let off. liked it so much, I couldn't resist ordering a second bow. great warranty and a free set of their 452x strings every 2 years. Their finish is also one of the best in the industry.

I have shot nothing but Hoyts the last 15 years but after shooting the Rival I had to have it. It was faster than my Spyder, had an unreal back wall and just felt good to shoot. I haven't had it long enough to say it's better but so far I have no complaints.
