joelpresmyk8 Report post Posted November 29, 2015 Well it's been a long 4 year wait and I couldn't wait any longer so I put in for this hunt because of the draw odds. Due to my wife's deer, bear, my deer hunt, and work I only got to scout for the two days before the hunt. This was my first crack at elk with a rifle and I talked to my wife and we agreed we needed meat and I have never been a trophy hunter, so I would shoot whatever I could! I got to watch 3 rag horns for the two days before the hunt. I decided to go after them and we were waiting on the hill waiting for them opening morning! After a few shots I was able to put him down! my first rifle bull!! I couldn't have done it without my two buddies!! The pack out was a good ole nasty 22n pack job! It was an awesome experience!
