AZSpeed Report post Posted November 26, 2015 Looking for recommendations on a .44 mag load for Javelina that will put them down without making a huge mess. I'm using a Super RedHawk inside of 75 yards. Thanks for the suggestions.

PRDATR Report post Posted November 27, 2015 I would not use a HP, they are not hard to kill so I would use a 180 or 240 jacketed bullet with an exposed flat lead tip.
Mike S Report post Posted November 29, 2015 A 240 XTP would be perfect in my opinion. I've shot 5 with a 250 XTP loaded to 1400FPS in my Freedom Arms .454 without issue. Plenty flat for 75 yards. Pick one standing broadside and aim 1/3 of the way up the collar and you will not waste any meat.
