I had to run to the store to buy a new peep and when i came back to shoot, i tried to rang 20 yards and as soon as i pressed the button, it says : ER6 what is up with this? the thing is in perfect exterior condition, and has not been used that much, am i screwed? I do not hve the money to buy another one, so please dont tell me to just pitch it and buy a leica 1200, if i could i would but it is not possible. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I wouldn't count on it...worth a try to send it in though......I guess Do you know why they call it the "Yardage Pro"? Because there isn't another rangefinder out there that has been thrown for as many yards as the "Yardage Pro"! I have heard of several instances where the "Yardage Pro" didn't work when it was supposed to and the owner threw it and left it!!! You can buy a used Leica 900 for the same price as the cheapest new "Yardage Pro"..........and the Leica will still work better! AZP&Y Report post Posted July 16, 2007 There is no corrsponding error code chart supplied with the Bushnells, but it's pretty simple with a rangefinder. If you are getting an error code of any kind with a rangefinder, it means one of these: 1) Low battery, replace if necessary 2) You are trying to measure an object that is too close, try a more distant object 3) You are not holding the rangefinder steady and have not gotten a reading off the target. Try an easier, larger, more reflective target as a check. 4) You have an electrical problem requiring repair. Check 1-3 first. Flash Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Sorry you are having a problem with it. I have used one since they first came out with no problems. The heat could effect it if you left it out much recently, but weird it would work in the AM. I have found Bushnells customer service to be great, so maybe give them a call and see if they can identify the error ID.
