HEADACHE Report post Posted July 15, 2007 Shot a lot of pictures of this poor guy, he could only hobble along at a walking pace. His mommy was close by and wouldn't hardly leave him. Looks like a fence got him??? it was swollen up badly, he would wince every time it moved, there were flies all around it, it flat looked nasty! What are we supposed to do for something like this? coues7 Report post Posted July 15, 2007 That is really sad....especially since it's a young calf. Unfortunately, Mother Nature's predator team will be the ones to get a meal. It truly is sad though. He's a cute little fella!
GRONG Report post Posted July 15, 2007 If it's a bull maybe he'll turn out to be a monster non-typical bull in a few years.

COUESAZ Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Looks like it may be broken as well. I think they are tough little critters but unless it can heal quik and run quiker than it just might become predator bait in the next few days.
HEADACHE Report post Posted July 16, 2007 oh yeah I forgot to mention it was WAY broken, just hanging there. you can see part of the bone hanging out through the hole. sad.
mattys281 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Don't think there's much you can do other than watch & wait. Crappy luck for that little fella, but good luck for a local lion, bear, or coyote...
fatfootdoc Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Tell the wolf huggers so they can make him roadkill and feed him to the Mexican Gray crossbreeds! That or just get your predator rifle and set up on him for a few days and shoot the coyotes coming in for dinner. AG
