Colorado advise

Is there a service out there that will help me pick a mule deer season / unit in Colorado.

 

I kow that I could spend the time and research it myself, I usually enjoy doing that, but there are thousands of choices in Colorado and my time is limited right now.

 

I know nothing about the various units but have 4 points and want to hunt 2016 (4 points) or 2015 (5 points).

 

Western Hunter Magazine used to have this service but it seems they no longer do it.

I don't know of a service like that but there are several sources that break down unit details and draw statistics. Since you don't have the time to research your best bet might be to come up with a list of expectations (hopes) and post on the various forums and see what feedback you get. That should at least narrow it down after you sift out the BS you're likely to get. As you say, there are many choices of units and seasons. PM me if you want and I'll try to help.

Call Hunters trailhead i think his name is John. He helped me out a bunch in regards to Colorado

I belonged to hunters trailhead for 2 years. I havn't paid up this year. Will have to. I liked the info. Maybee we can get 3-4 guys with same points 3-4 and all go on a hunt if we can figure it out...............Just a thought. ............BOB!

I can probably help a little bit. The next 2 years are the years to go as the season dates are starting later next year, but point creep will probably come into play.
