Edge Report post Posted November 3, 2015 The old model 88 Winchester has been knocking down Coues, antelope and javelina since my parents moved to AZ in the 50's. Lord knows how many rounds later, no matter how much I scrub the bore, 2nd and third rounds are flyers. Is the barrel shot out, bedding issues, scope worn out? Handed the rifle over to MulePackHunter for some bore measurements when he goes all out and rebedded the barrel, scrubs and laps the bore and fits new scope and mounts on it. Say whaaaa? Here's the results before scope adjustments, three rounds at 100 yards. Thanks Mike

MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Lever action 243 older than me, I am just happy it was not shot out. Crazy group at 100. We had to go look closer to believe it was 3 holes. One more trip to the range and it may be ready for Nov 27 tag.
AZbowhntr Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Great rifle. I have one in .308 that I got from my dad. I have killed a couple deer with it.
