firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted October 31, 2015 I shoot a 285 grn amax and H-1000. 1/4 moa out of it. Unbelievably accurate That's a huge bullet for a 7/08!

Tac Report post Posted November 16, 2015 Tried Imr 4831 and 265 lrx not so good. Went to us869 and 265 lrx and shot 1/2 moa. I,m happy now! I fixed me and lightened up on holding the gun and it started going well. I must have been torquing the gun.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted November 16, 2015 Id think 4831 would be far too fast. Especially compared to 869.
shoottoshoot Report post Posted November 16, 2015 H1000 is what you want to use. Velocity and accuracy will stabilize unbelievably! I have some for sale if you're interested.
Camofreak Report post Posted November 17, 2015 How many grains of H1000 do you guys load up in those Lapuas?
huntermncb Report post Posted November 17, 2015 89 grains of h1000 would probably work great
shoottoshoot Report post Posted November 19, 2015 I load my 338 Lapua mag w/ 250gr scenar at 91.5gr. Depending on the velocity you want, I think 89-90 grains is a great place to start.
Becker Report post Posted November 19, 2015 Every gun is a little different. My edge max powder charge is 87.5 to 88. Just be careful and start low and work up.
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted November 19, 2015 My lapua likes 89 grains behind a 285 a max. For a lighter bullet, try a little more, a heavier bullet, try a little less
