AZhuntingfamily Report post Posted November 8, 2015 Let me be devils advocate here. Is it possible the meat was spoiled when they finally located the deer? If that was the case I would only take the head too! I would tag it ofcourse.
trphyhntr Report post Posted November 8, 2015 There have been times that the fbi has done the quantico deal on some poaching cases. Came back they have the same traits as serial killers like bundy and gacy. Scary people. Lark. I believe that
khmer6 Report post Posted November 9, 2015 I came across 2 yeah carcass in another unit last week. One was opening day. Head and quarters taken. Hide intact. Guts still there. They left the steaks ??? I went back the next day in hopes they were still packing it,out when I first came across it. Nope still there. Another was a frahly expired button buck took a bullet to their rear hind. Its a shame people leave meat to waste

They left the steaks ??? I went back the next day in hopes they were still packing it, out when I first came across it. Nope still there. Another was a freshly expired button buck took a bullet to their rear hind. Its a shame people leave meat to waste The "gutless method" could still have a lot of the hide and guts intact. But I guess they forgot to take the back straps & tenderloins? That sucks. Best eating. I came across a butchered cow this weekend in 21 by the smell. I was glassing and kept getting a whiff of "death". Followed it to the source. Been there for a couple weeks it looks like. Literally millions, if not billions of maggots. I have a pretty strong stomach, but whew! Whoever did it took the quarters and back straps/tenderloins, and the head. Just like a game animal. Smaller black cow, but still way bigger than any deer. I did not probe around for a bullet hole.

I did not probe around for a bullet hole. Yeah that's what I was hoping. But they left all the best meat still there :-( I thought it was quite strange. Then I realized it was right by a road too, so no reason for them to not have come back for it
