PRDATR Report post Posted October 29, 2015 It seems like almost all the towers in the Tempe area have had someone working on them most of the week.
AverageJoe Report post Posted October 29, 2015 Not sure if its the reason but now tmobile and sprint are piggybacking off of verizon towers. Maybe they are setting up the new network for those companies
Arizona Griz Report post Posted October 29, 2015 Really not more than normal. T-Mobile is starting to build a little. Sprint hasn't built a site in quite a while. Verizon is building alot everywhere. ATT is doing mods to their existing sites.

GreyGhost85 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Relax. It's just cell site upgrades. I am involved with many of them. Cell companies get busy in the 4th quarter, trying to meet their construction milestones

ThomC Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Cell towers make excellent tree stands. But too many people have made it crowded now.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted October 30, 2015 The Government IS working on towers right now. Maricopa County is putting in a new system, and we are doing a lot of the builds/installs.
1uglydude Report post Posted October 31, 2015 I'm seeing a lot of requests to amend leases to allow for the installation of backup generators on older towers come across my desk. Supposedly a new FCC requirement.
1uglydude Report post Posted October 31, 2015 You're also going to see a lot of new small cell "mini" towers going up in high traffic areas. These are smaller facilities built to go on street light poles and traffic signals where higher bandwidth is needed in localized spots. Verizon wants to put up close to 70 in my jurisdiction alone.
