Shooter McGavin

2015 ended with a full freezer

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to fill my WT deer tag in unit 33, this deer as well as both my children's deer were taken out of the same canyon. I shot this deer at 4:45 and didn't get back to my truck until 8:00. Nothing like walking in the dark through waist high grass, hidden shin daggers and tons of catclaw through deep canyons, needless to say I'm done hunting these grey ghosts until next year. Now I'm going to focus on quail, a little shoulder recoil therapy.

I shot this guy at 440 yds.

Great to see the family hunting together.

That beautiful Kimber sure did earn its keep this season.

Congrats on a great fall. That rifle earned it's keep this year. Great shots by all of you. Love family hunts! It doesn't get any better than that.

Congrats man in a successful month of hunting. Lits of food eating in the freezer!! My son and I still have three tags to go, his mid Nov. Youth Javi and deer and my late Nov. Deer. Hope we are as successful as you and your family. My first year here in 33:)
