creed_az_88 Report post Posted October 29, 2015 I got a western field model 734 in 7 mag. I'm thinking about cleaning it up and trying to make it shoot for my little brother. It's been in the family for years but nobody has really ever shot it. My parents picked it up and just left it in the safe all this time. Just curious if anybody has ever owned one and what they thought about them. Accurate?

drcarr Report post Posted October 29, 2015 I have an old Western Field pump 20 gauge with an adjustable poly choke...never had any problems with it and the kids have shot alot of doves, quail and rabbits with this gun...I believe Western Field was a Montgomery Wards house brand...you may be able to find out something about your rifle using these website links..... https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Brand-Cross-Reference.htm?mfgr=Western%20Field%20 http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5548699
DesertBull Report post Posted October 29, 2015 When I was a kid the Christmas catalogs from JC Penny, Montgomery Wards and Sears all had a gun section. I wish I would have saved some of them. I would fold down the pages and make check marks next to the ones I wanted then leave it open on the coffee table by "accident" so my grandparents would see it.
