Saw the coueswhitetail sticker and meant to stop in to say hello, but never ended-up making it by (I was in a white 4 door Tacoma & my buddy had a white Jeep.... We were camped in the Alaknak tent a few hundred yards down the two-track by your camp...). Glad you guys had a good time!! We parked in the lot up by the ranch and hiked back in approx. 3 miles each day. Saw multiple bucks each day, and my buddy finally connected on a nice one on Sunday morning. Did you guys hunt those hills/mountains where you took the picture of the petroglyphs? I've hunted in that area in years past with some good success, though it can sometimes get a little pressure..... Awesome that your buddy killed his first buck!! Anyway, it's awesome that you all had a good time! I'll make it a point to stop in and say hello next time I drive past a camp with a cw.com sticker in the window! S. Wish you would have stopped by. We heard the the shots from over there! Congrats! Next time stop by for a cold one! The pressure was a little higher just to the west of us in that bowl. We stayed further east and didn't see as many people. We could see your headlamps moving up the mountain over there every morning. Ha!! "Shots" as in, plural.... Yep, that was us! We both shot twice on Friday morning and missed clean. Long, ill planned shots.... Then on Sunday morning my buddy took two shots to bring his deer down (that was about 6:45 on Sunday...).
