AZGFD Special Meeting

Recommended Posts

Govt employees will never be held accountable like you or I. In fact, I'm pretty sure the term "accountability" was removed from any of their mission statements or honor codes. They protect themselves; all the while union leaderships tend to just protect the bad apple constituents and negotiate bread crumbs for the rest.

I guess if I played by AZG&F rules I could hunt all week for a good bull but when I have to work on the weekend I could give my tag to my brother to put on that bull I was chasing all week if he happens to get a shot on him while he is hunting for his own bull. What a deal. What does AZG&F call this ? I call it POACHING !

He had a scheduled surgery. I ask you glass house, would you not have done the same? The guys that shot it and used another tag are the "guilty" party.

Wrong. The ONLY tag you can have in your possession is your OWN. In addition, knowingly leaving your OWN tag in the possession of someone else with the knowledge that they're going to finish off an animal for you makes you just as guilty. He CLEARLY knew what he was doing was illegal.

the person who hires the contract killer usually does life or gets death, the actual killer usually gets less or none. Depending on how they cooperate. The crazy laws we have.

Regarding Mr. Wagner, I'm sad to admit that not that long ago I was on the lynching mob. However, over the past six months I have had two different encounters with him, both very positive experiences, which has lead me believe I may have unfairly judged him without knowing all the facts. Maybe he is guilty and got away with something, or maybe there is more to it than we all realize. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm just suggesting that maybe we don't know everything that happened.

He Did NOT know they were going to have to finish off the animal. Again, if anyone is guilty of a crime its the guy that actually killed the animal and tagged it with a tag other than his own.

Ummm, we got the whole story.

So let me get this straight:

He CLEARLY broke the law, along with his G&F buddies. Not only does he walk away from it all without consequence, he gets promoted!! Then because his employer is incompetent in the whole ordeal (hence the fact that he wasn't held accountable) he got $100,000 of your tax payer dollars. But because he's a "nice guy" we just forget about it??? Hahaha!!!

Yes. He was awarded a judgment and won multiple appeals because the bureaucracy attempted to assess punishment without any charges of a crime. Thats how the law works. You wanna get pissed get pissed at Lary.

Once again, let's just pass the buck off on someone else (Larry). In the end it was all him. HE left his tag in camp. None of this would matter if he chose to abide by the laws he swore to uphold. Period.

Ooh, this is getting juicy. Thing is I don't have anything against him or the department. But I do think we should all be paying attention to what's going on and I am highly suspicious of the timing of the notification for a special meeting. Not sure this would meet AZ's definition of an open meeting.

What's the law regarding how long in advance they have to let the public know about the meeting? Like you said seems strange they are giving close to 24 hours notice before a meeting like this. I'd of liked to gone down and seen what it was all about.

Typically 24 hrs, but they do not have to email all interested parties, simply post it on their website. So I don't know exactly when it was posted. Looks like they put it on Facebook around 5:00 yesterday so maybe they put it on their website first the. FB then emailed today. That probably meets the requirement. Did anyone catch the meeting to see what was discussed?

And for the crowd still discussing the ethics of Wagners actions, that has been discussed at length elsewhere and is not the topic here. Start your own thread if you want to talk about that. The intent here is simply to discuss action being taken by the commission and the contents of the whistle blower letter.

It's not passing the buck. If he committed a crime they should have charged him with one. That's where this all went wrong. He was never charged with a crime. It's not Wagners fault the department cant do its job. Keep doin' what you do Kickin' Wing!
