Which pants are you wearing?

Recommended Posts

I wear my Sitka mountain pants when down in the desert units. They get snagged and the thread pulls out. That feature plus all the grass seed pods and burrs that stick to them helps put the final touches on my desert ghillie suit.

I am looking at a new pant. Made by Arborwear. Heard they are bulletproof.

While commenting "wranglers" would make me look like a badass who tears through brush, sleeps in the dirt with no pad and eats coffee grounds.... I on the other hand have invested in quality hunting pants and am proud to say it. I've worn Sitka pants for the last two years and the stretch, quality construction and quietness of the fabric has given me the ability to hunt/scout/shed multiple days a week in a few select pairs that have not only lasted but provided a silky hammock for my adventures along the way. The price tag sucks but the comfort and mobility is worth it. Two solid pairs of pants with some gators is a more than sufficient setup for the average hunter... While spending $1.00 at the thrift store sounds appealing, making it to the top without a rash sounds even better... IMO

I will probably never buy Sitka pants because one of my friends bought a pair a few months ago and already got a huge tear in em. The only time I've ever torn wranglers was bull riding...

Carhartts for coues hunting....and they aren't broken in properly until they have their first hole or tear.

Had friends used both Kuiu and Sitka pants down south and both brands would catch and the fabric would pull out. Seen them have good success with gaitors but why add the extra layer?

I wear the same Carhartts that I've had since my first coues hunt in 2006...almost tradition at this point.

Same as many of the above posts, Carhartt for coues hunting. I have and use both sitka and kuiu but they will not work in most of Coues country.

Double front Carhartt are my favorite even in warm weather, that and a nice pair of gloves will work wonders.
