willhunt4coues Report post Posted October 26, 2015 I like the 511 Tactical pants for catclaws. They have rip stop and I never feel the cat claw anytime I wear them.
PelaPapas Report post Posted October 26, 2015 I had always been a blue jeans and camo shirt kind of guy. I wanted something different and a few guys here on the forum recommended Kuiu. I ordered some Kuiu Teton pants/shirts and put them to the test this past weekend on my hunt down south. Went through cat claw, cholla and everything else that likes to poke. So far so good. Pants held up perfect, with no damage. The fit was great and really comfortable. I might have to pick me up a set in verde now.
W.O.T Report post Posted November 16, 2015 So I tried out the Duluth Firehose pants. They are heavy and have pockets everywhere but The dang catclaw and crap still tore me up. This last week I tried out the Carhartt double fronts and they are definately the winner. Theyre not bulletproof but feel close to it, my legs are still in one piece, not like shredded beef I sent back the other 3 pair of Duluths. Too bad the carhartts dont have a camo color.

n2horns Report post Posted November 16, 2015 Car hart double fronts are key. I would stay away from moss green unless you are doing side work for customs. I wouldn't want to look like customs down south.

Richie Report post Posted November 17, 2015 I have worn the under armor performance field pants for years now. love them good protection, great fit and they let the boys breath. I bought snake gators this for protection against snakes, obviously. At the end of my hunt, i decided i will wear them from now on for great ankle support and i just blast through anything that's is in my way without a worry

Whitesheep Report post Posted November 18, 2015 Anyone tried Filson's pants? They are really pricey, but not so much so compared to the really high end stuff from Sitka..
