Unit 3C - Motorized Vehicles Off-Road use to retrieve elk?????

I've been searching for this information and getting some conflicting information.

 

What are the current rules, regulations, and restrictions in unit 3c for using a motorized vehicle off-road to recover and retrieve an elk that has been killed?

You can travel wherever you want to retrieve an animal in 3c. Just be as careful as possible as some of the area is wet and you could tear it up.

The good thing is that you're in 3C. Lots of roads there. You shouldn't have to travel too far from a road to retrieve.
