azpredator@work Report post Posted October 9, 2015 Nice video. Not sure what to think about that spinning rod...looks as long as the boat. Lived here in ft. Mohave for 4 years and still yet to hit havasu.
Havasuhunter Report post Posted October 9, 2015 Many good striper fisherman carry a surf rod in the boat. That's our side scan sonar. Kenny can throw the popper 70 yards on that thing with spectra. We can also throw way over buoy lines into water that is untouched by others. He was calling fish to the boat for me with it. We put an easy 100 fish in the boat that day. Biggest around 10 lbs. The river by Fort Mohave is still Havasu, we catch them right there too.
azpredator@work Report post Posted October 9, 2015 Yeah, I know, we used them on the red river below texoma dam in Texas. Just giving ya a hard time. Looks like you guys were tearing 'em up.
Havasuhunter Report post Posted October 9, 2015 Cool. We get some funny looks from when people see the surf rod.😃 Your section of the river is a good place to throw a big popper early in the morning.
