Teo Report post Posted October 8, 2015 OK experienced bear hunters, I have a cow elk tag for early December, is it worth it to pick up an over the counter bear tag just in case? Or will they all be snoozing by then? Thanks!

JustinB Report post Posted October 8, 2015 I have friends that have had bear tracks in the snow in their yards in January and February up her in Flagstaff. My brother studies bear up in Wyoming. Last year they saw their last bear on the valley floor in January. If they are still awake that far north at that time then I think it is safe to to say some are still walking around here in AZ. That said I think the majority have found a place to den up that late by January.
