How highs the water momma

Recommended Posts

After watching the news about the flooding in South Carolina, 1000 year flood, and then the crazy weather we have been seeing here in Arizona, got me to wondering...

How many of us live where a 1000 year flood would wreck your home???

I live about a quarter mile from Cottonwood wash which meets up with Silver Creek and heads into a bottle neck canyon that is full of overgrowth.....I bet this valley would fill up pretty dang high.....

I left my hotel in Columbia about 5 hours before everything hit. They were getting ready for it. A lot of dams opened up to get lake levels down. Not enough. The funny thing is the site superintended where my jobsite is cant figure out why we aren't coming back for two weeks. Cant fix stupid.

I live on the very top of a hill in New River, I'm good. Some of my neighbors are definitely in flood zones.

I am here in Mesa right off Crismon and the 60. The actual Crismon creek runs about 50 yards behind my house. And I have seen it raging with water before. So I know I would have some water coming in my back door.

I live about 400 yards from Skunk Creek. Downhill from the bank too. My property regularly has a river running through it during torrential downpours. My acreage looks like a lake at times, but never gotten up to foundation level. 1000 year flood might change things though.
