Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted October 7, 2015 After watching the news about the flooding in South Carolina, 1000 year flood, and then the crazy weather we have been seeing here in Arizona, got me to wondering... How many of us live where a 1000 year flood would wreck your home??? I live about a quarter mile from Cottonwood wash which meets up with Silver Creek and heads into a bottle neck canyon that is full of overgrowth.....I bet this valley would fill up pretty dang high.....

Not enough. The funny thing is the site superintended where my jobsite is cant figure out why we aren't coming back for two weeks. Cant fix stupid.

AZbowhntr Report post Posted October 8, 2015 I am here in Mesa right off Crismon and the 60. The actual Crismon creek runs about 50 yards behind my house. And I have seen it raging with water before. So I know I would have some water coming in my back door.
lancetkenyon Report post Posted October 8, 2015 I live about 400 yards from Skunk Creek. Downhill from the bank too. My property regularly has a river running through it during torrential downpours. My acreage looks like a lake at times, but never gotten up to foundation level. 1000 year flood might change things though.
