rageinthesage Report post Posted October 1, 2015 I just bought a slik from Bull Basin Tucson for my father-in-law. $108 for the tripod, but with the head it would have been around $164 I believe. Great tripod for the munny. I just bought the tripod and topped it with a Jim White head. I am extremely jealous of his setup. Good luck on your search. lancetkenyon Report post Posted October 1, 2015 My input is get one you can sit on your butt and use, AND extend it and stand behind without slouching. I have used mine in a lot of different scenarios, and it has been rock solid so far. Manfrotto 290 series carbon fiber tripod with a Manfrotto 700CR2 head. LOVE it.
