azpredator@work Report post Posted September 30, 2015 looking to buy a good tripod. Flip lock legs are highly preferred. Need it to extend up to 65". also, looking for a smooth head to do a little video for this year's hunt. Let me know what you may have and how much you need for it. Thanks, Wade
rcdinaz Report post Posted September 30, 2015 This one is CF but a big sucker and stable as can be for video. Amanda used to have a similar one in the store. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1F86CM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage Put a Manfrotto head on and you will be into it for less than $500 which is really cheap for video work, and have a very good set up. I spent months researching and reading recommendations on here and ended up going with this. I have a Bogen and 4 other smaller tripods so I have real world comparisons. The only thing it is missing is the flip lock legs as you pointed out which I prefer also.
borntohunt Report post Posted October 1, 2015 I just bought a Brunton carbon fiber it is well worth the money but it does have screw tight legs. It was on sale for $99.99 and retail was $699.99. I think Brunton is getting out of the tripod business. Little heavy for throwing in your back pack at 4 1/2 lbs but very stable and smooth head. Someone gave me the link on the optic fourm. I just got back from Utah and I was very happy with it and my friends were too.
